DirectRoute successfully immersed the fourth  of five tunnel elements in the Shannon on Sunday 28th September.

The Tunnel Element was named “Chantal” after the wife of the Mergor immersion Project Manager Oscar. The immersion of the fourth element concludes the immersion of tunnel elements in the river and the highest risk phase of the project. The fifth and final tunnel element will be immersed on the North bank of the River during the week commencing 20th. October this year.
